Illustration Friday "Strings"

When I saw the Illustration Friday topic of "strings," I thought of a tightrope. And since I have penguins on the mind, I decided to draw a performance poster for Mr. Popper's Penguins.

hi Kristi, thanks for my comment on sugary. I actually painted it on wood first, then scanned it in and added the indian textile patterns in photoshop.
Your work is fantastic, have you been at this game for a long time? I am amazed by how many books you have done!

Thanks for the comments everyone! I had a lot of fun with these guys.
gulzar - I'm not associated with any particular bookhouse. I do freelance illustration work for a variety of publishers. If you're interested in writing or illustrating for children's books, check out CWIM (Children's Writers and Illustrators Market). That book tells you which publishers are open to submissions and what exactly exactly you should send to them so that you appear professional. Also join SCBWI. Hope that helps.
