This little boy's trying to soar out of bed and downstairs without anyone but a mouse noticing. Some Dads are quicker than that though!
This illustration is a rework of an illustration in which I had Santa sneaking upstairs (instead of Dad standing there). I like this Dad illustration much better.

love those pj's!
You've really captured both of their expressions well. Cute illustration!
OMG my husband had slippers just like those. He called them his monkey men. Please don't tell anyone!
Very cute idea! I'd love to see the Santa illustration for comparison, though. I love Dad's pose.
I remember this from an early critique. It is still wonderful and I love that the little boy is trying to shussh the mouse. You have really made it work!

Cute. Great illustration.

Too sweet. I like the dad's smirky grin. It's like he wants to be stern but is also amused by his boy's attempt to sneak out of bed. :-) Happy new years!
Very beautiful work. Good and sweet idea.
Thanks for your comments everyone! By request, here's a link to the Santa illustration I referred to as being the original illustration before I started over to create this one: http://kristivaliant.blogspot.com/2006/11/quiet-in-color.html
