A truth to remember all year long - not just at Christmas.
This is one my Christmas card designs that I license to greeting card companies. You can see more of my greeting card designs on my website: www.kristivaliant.com
The light turned green and the hare took off. The tortoise stared up at the green light. "Green, yes, that's green," he mumbled. At a speed the tortoise had never before acheived, he deliberately placed one foot on the stone path. After transfering his weight, he placed another foot. "Wow, watch me go!"
These are some of the illustrations I created for an upscale clothing store in Indianapolis called Angela David. I thought they fit well with the Illustration Friday topic, Communication: writing, reading, and cell phoning.
This illustration brought to mind that sweet poem that begins, "Sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what little girls are made of". That's exactly right.
What's a better way to communicate than through drawing and writing... even if it's on the wall.
I created this piece just for my portfolio and sent out postcards of it as a promotional piece to children's book publishers.
Here's my second submission for "Quiet" based on my first one, but I think better. I love the cute tiny mouse waiting to see what will happen when the lil' boy sneaking downstairs and Santa sneaking upstairs meet.
I plan on painting this one so check back for the final later on.
A quick sketch for Illustration Friday. This sweet lil' boy is trying to quietly sneak downstairs to see if Santa has come yet. Don't think he'll get too far.
I have another idea based on this drawing for "Quiet". I'll try to sketch that one too before Friday. Can I submit more than one to IF? Hmmm...
